This ELM327 is BT module Firmware V1.5 with PIC18F25K80 Chip.

 

Firmware V1.5 supports more cars and more protocols than firmware V2.1. Firmware V1.5 has very stable function and it supports SAE J1850 PWM and SAE J1850 VPW protocols.

So if your V2.1 can not works with your car protocols,mabe you could buy Firmware V1.5 to try ,but it doesnt means V1.5 can supports your car 100%,as we can not test each car .

Note:ELM327 only works Gasoline cars,it can not work Diesel&trucks.
